>>38871276im tired as fuck but after ignoring so many of these threads i think i'll finally give in:
good concept even if other series have done it, it was a perfect idea for pokemon.
2 problems
>1. half the pokemon that got it didnt need it or deserve iti understand some picks like starters, maybe if one or two story legendaries had it for story related purposes, not just "lets make all these legendaries even more OP"...
but shit like alakazam, gengar, tyranitar, salamance, metagross, latios/latias, garchomp, diancie etc dont need it at all
>2. a lot of the designs are just bad, in my opinionI'm fine with doofy mega slowbro because it suits the pokemon, it has character, it even makes sense in lore.
I'm fine with mega kangaskhan even though it barely changes because its unique and suits the pokemon
I'm fine with mega ampharos because it makes it more similar to its pre evolutions, so its pretty neat.
what I hate is shit like mega pinsir, just adding 3 pairs of wings and giving it robot eyes and making it spiky, literally just tacking shit on because extra spiky shit = good apparently
mega aerodactyl is literally just aerodactyl with rocks on it, as if aerodactyl wasnt just a rock type because it was a fossil pokemon and no other reason
Mega manectric is just one of the dumbest looking things ever. i don't think i even need to explain this one.
i also don't think i need to explain why all the ones that are just "spikes lol" are dumb (aerodactyl, tyranitar, sharpedo, glalie, garchomp, abomasnow, whatever the fuck else
and even the ones that are blantly stupid, i still don't like. the only mega evolutions i actually truly like are beedrill and audino. even though beedrill is just another spiky mega, it fits the pokemon and beedrill deserved a mega. it just looks cool i guess. then audino really expands upon a somewhat underrated, basic/boring pokemon design and makes it better while still being unique, yet not unique enough to be an evolution.
