The first thing he needs is some damn coverage. His entire special movepool is fire moves, Focus Blast, Solar Beam, and a bunch of useless moves like fucking Psywave. Once that's fixed, then maybe he can worry about his mediocre stat spread.

Some ability that makes him able to run Specs more reliably and not Scarf. Possibly a Fire version of the nerfed Gale Wings? So Eruption gets priority AND 150 power as long as they don't have priority. Resists still murder it, but that would give it much more power, running Specs and not Scarf out of neccesity.

To be fair, he has Extrasensory, which is a fairly powerful psychic attack (base 80 and a chance to flinch is decent and helps it break things like poison types). He doesn't learn psywave, either. Unless you were confusing the two, but Extrasensory isn't really useless on him desu.

It just doesn't bring much to the table compared to most other fire types. It has a bad special movepool despite being special based, mediocre stats and abilities. It could be vastly improved by just giving it some damn moves. It's already a clone of Charizard stat wise but Charizard has dual typing and a massively better movepool.
