>>38890042It's not shitposting most of the time, it's just flaming. Hell,
>>38889820, the post most of the posts your talking about are replying to, wasn't even that, it was just an attempt at legitimate criticism which anons replied to at length.
>>38890025The reason MLP got a containment board is because it was attracting the wrong kinds of people to 4chan so Moot creaed it just to nuke it for the lulz and just crated a permanent one to quell the butthurt and stop the following shitstorm, whereas Jojofags are just people who were already here who are disproportionately vocal since it's babbies first quality media so they feel smart for reading it (essentially what Rick and Morty is to Reddit, although Jojo serves the same purpose there as well), so no, it's not the same, even fucking remotely.
Jojofags often make really unwarranted annoying-ass in-jokes, but the whole "is this a Jojo reference" thing is based in reality; in japan, references to it are super saturated in their pop culture, and now that it's finally getting big in the anglosphere, the same is happening here. Jojo's just dangerously metetic in general, which has nothing to do with any specific group of fans. It's more the result of humanity's tendency to rely on unfunny forced memes in general.
