Genwunners don't actually like any Pokemon besides Charizard and Pikachu. They have no attachment to the franchise besides a vague sense of nostalgia for the cartoon and I'd be surprised if a majority of them ever touched the game at all.

This. I like Hypno because it's a weird sandman-goblin that's supposed to be creepy; that's where its charm lies. Not everything has to be a cool dragon or cute thing to be a good design. Same goes with Mr. Mime in that regard.

I think Crobat looks a bit tame in the 2D games because it seems that the sprite actually shrinks after evolving.
In the Gen 6 and 7 games Crobat is fucking huge, which makes it more intimidating and interesting.

I’ve been called a genwunner before but I wouldn’t classify myself as one since it isn’t my favourite game and I only played it a year ago so I don’t have any nostalgia for it, but I don’t dislike a single design from KAANTOOOOO.
There are some that feel mostly neutral on but not a single one I outright dislike. It also has some of my favourite pokemon such as Magmar, lickitung, golbat, electabuzz, Raichu, almost all of the water type pokemon, and venonat.
