It actually wasn't that bad. I enjoyed it. The pokemon look amazing moving on the big screen and I would unironically watch a movie with just scenes of the pokemon in the city.

Pikachu had Harry's soul hidden with him the whole time
the only real sin was
making Harry Goodman and Ryan Reynolds THE SAME PERSON. Making your main characters voice, another person in-universe is bound to run into some trouble. Seeing a movie with Harry, Tim, and pikachu with a voice does sound like fun, but they seem to make that impossible

So is that your head canon? To me, there are 3 potential main characters; Tim, Harry, and Pikachu. I could see that Harry was the main character, but he died extremely early on. Tim has the most screen time, but pikachu relates to both the most. His name is even in the title. So for me, it's pikachu
