Nothing that prevents people from using old Pokémon will ever be well received
Not B/W’s regional only rule before the elite 4, not R/S’s limited compatibility, and neither will swsh’s limited pokedex

This is the kind of attitude that killed this series. Hardware Limitations my ass. BTW, Unova at least still let you transfer all previous pokemon from gen 4 in.
