B/W didn't filter anything, you could trade any Pokemon in from previous gens. I think you could even do it from the main story, too. You just couldn't transfer them until after you beat the elite 4.

What's with the autists baiting? It's RSE and BW, you can get these pokemon from trading with Emerald and LeafGreen & FireRed. And with B/W you can get some from after you beat the game, simple as. Here, they won't be even in the code of the game.

RS was genuinely trash and emerald fixed literally EVERYTHING. Also, you still could fight unobtainable pokemon at the the battle tower, so they weren't removed from the game.
BW was a soft reboot. You could get non gen 5 pokemon in the post game
SwordShield on the other hand literally cuts the number of pokemon by half. Unless they patch it, you won't even get to see old pokemons in the regional battle tower ripoff
