Every single time GameFreak makes a game, they remove content. Every single time, people are ok with this. "Nobody cared about it!"/"I don't care, look at everything else we got!"/"I'm just happy to get my yearly Pokemon fix!", it's essentially telling GameFreak that it is ok for them to permanently remove that content as it is no longer necessary.
If people continue to support GameFreak, and say they are ok with Pokemon not being in the game, then it is again essentially telling GameFreak that is ok for them to permanently remove those Pokemon as they are no longer necessary.

Some Pokémon that have forgotten by even Game Freak themselves really are never coming back though. At the very least you could always inject a Glameow or catch one in the post-game, now neither of those are possible. And you see, it's a certainty that even more forgettable Pokémon than Glameow will be introduced in the future, ones that are practically guaranteed to not appear in the next installment. If they continue this practice, eventually a large majority of new Pokémon will end up like Glameow; only appearing in a single generation, and then no more. Only it will be a far worse fate than Glameow has suffered up to this point.

Let me explain this to you, you dense motherfucker.

You simply could not CATCH those Pokemon in RS, but their files were still in the games. I had a Gameshark for my GBA, so even though I couldn't actually get a Blastoise legitimately, I could still hack one in because the files were there in the game. Repeat for every other Pokemon.

In SwSh, this is not the case. The files and assets are not there, the Pokemon are flat-out, 100% not in the game. Unless Gamefreak releases a massive patch that adds all the missing Pokemon, they will NEVER be obtainable or usable in SwSh.

I'm not buying this to play the fucking story, I'm buying it to breed and play with other people. If I can't use half the fucking Pokemon I spent the last decade breeding and training then why am I even buying the fucking game?

The coding them in bit is the only part they have to patch though?

If they were already coded in then there would be no problem, because the problem is that they're not coded in. If they don't want players to use them until postgame that's fine, they've done that before, but if the game is going to be missing a third to half of all the Pokemon then I'm just going to skip it.

There was a 4 month gap between the release of XY and Bank/Transfer to be able to move your pokemon over from the DS games.
There was a 3 month gap between the release of SM and Bank being updated to be compatible with Alolan Pokemon.
Sword and Shield release November 15, 2019 and Pokemon Home isnt even slated to come out until early 2020. Add to that the remaining development time to finish preparing ~500 Pokemon for SS and we're probably looking at 3-6 months tops after release until every pokemon is on sword and shield. By comparison you could wait another 3-6 months for sword and shield to be out at all instead of waiting a few months to transfer them.
I get this franchise is for children, but it doesn't mean you all have to act like one.

The regional dex has literally always been all that mattered. Always. Its the dex you actually use and experience during playtime. National Dex was never competatively relevant, especially in the entry of a gen, and is irrelevant in the main games, especially in the games with large dexes.

The fact they already indicated EVERYTHING you've collected from Bank, GO and Let's Go will be stored in Pokémon Home and here's the thing, the shitheels NOT in Galar, will likely be added to the NEXT games, where GF only have another half a hundred anims to do at a time (and re-use Galar's set), instead of nearly 900 at once like you fucks want.

Bro, Home is already compatible with all gens, WITH trading - You're probably going to wait one year at MOST to battle with whatever Pokemon you want. If Pokémon availability wasn't updated throughout a Gen, then Gen 3 would have axed like 50% of the dex.

Literally the point of the culling is because they couldn’t make new models/textures for all 800+ Pokémon by the release without delaying. And we’ve seen so far every single Pokémon has a new animation or something new with their models.

Home doesn’t come out until early 2020 aka February. GameFreak can always add a patch in by then or afterwards. People are literally mad over nothing.

This is the whole PokeBank X&Y situation all over again.

Sounds like they plan to only include certain Pokemon in each game moving forward, Masuda said they had decided to go in this "new direction" due to the workload and time involved in implementing every Pokemon when they want to pump them out every year, implying it may be possible that we may never get another game with every Pokemon in it, you fucking muppet.

If this is the case, then I'm done buying new Pokemon games, I don't want access to only half the Pokemon in every game, what the fuck?
