there hasn't been a single game where you can catch every individual pokemon within that gen, even excluding version exclusives, since gsc. if you never played the 3ds games you legitimately have no reason to be mad at this.

Not OP, but imagine I wanna get back into Pokémon and I wanna try specific Pokémons that aren't in the galardex. I'd have to buy a specific game that mons appears in, just to use it. And then it's worthless, because after it can't be used to anything anymore.

this is true of any other transfer-only pokemon in any game before this. if op wanted to transfer pokemon up from, say, gen 4 he'd have to buy a 2ds, usm, and pokemon bank anyways.
