I'll always love Pokemon. I gave up on the anime years ago. I gave up on the TCG soon after that. Now I've given up on the games. But Pokemon itself is still amazing.

The old games aren't gone. I can still play and enjoy them. I can still enjoy all the fan content like hacks, art, and remixes. I can still enjoy my weekly game of Pokemon D&D. The Pokemon themselves are what's important.

I think I still have a faint glimmer of hope that every thing wrong will be right by the time this generation ends. But as it stands now, I won't be buying SS, but I'll be keeping up with the news and updates. I love Pokemon and it's probably my favorite video game franchise but if it can't pull itself together by the end of the gen I think I'll just quit it entirely.

I still love all the older games that gave me good memories over the years, that will never change. Pokemon is never going to go back to what it was before and sometimes you gotta accept things are never going to be the same and move on
