Most of this board, even if they liked 6 and 7, acknowledge that there's a drop in quality after the DS games
You do know why, right? It's because Gamefreak poured their soul into BW, even if you don't like these games, this is pretty obvious. They tried to move more into a direction they assumed fans would like, with a more mature story with better story telling, the most new Pokemon ever, giving us a difficult option etc etc etc
But because some of the Pokemon were poorly designed, and because the distribution was bad with the games, especially with no previous gen Pokemon being in the wild, people just didn't buy the games. Gamefreak evidently room this the wrong way, and stopped putting effort into the games. This is clear and I'm sure 99% of people on the board will agree that either way, there's been a lot less effort into the series
But we're heading for the same shit again. Gamefreak seems to care again. They've listened to fans and added numerous features fans have wanted, and we aren't even half way through the reveal season. However, these games won't do well because of their decision to not include every single Pokemon, thus the post Black and White cycle will continue. They will think that we don't want all the bee shit they've given us or have made return, or will be extremely discouraged from doing it all again
