Lucario, a Pokémon based on the EGYPTIAN god Anubis, made the cut for the regions based on FRANCE, HAWAII and ENGLAND.

it was still in the game, anon. you could even get the sun stone to evolve it and the like five other pokemon that use said stone. you just weren't rewarded for collecting it.
