I feel like such a fucking retard but I cant stop crying over this stupid shit, its not exactly about the fact that I cant use my favorite pokemon, I just feel like the series is coming to a close, its sort of been like this for a while, why cant things last forever?

I feel like this is game freak taking extra steps into lazyness, what else will be ruined about the franchise because of their lack of competence? I've started looking for Pokémon alternatives that aren't straight clones. A lot of indie monster collector games are being made now and seeing that has made me happy. They'll never have the same impact as Pokémon, but the future seems bright if you can let go of Pokémon.

There's Monster Crown, Disc Creatures, Monster Sanctuary (has a demo) and some others. They're all on PC only which is a bummer... But at least seeing them was a bit relieving. If enought people use the tag "monster collector" and "monster tamer" on these games on Steam, it'll become a tag where games with the same tag can be searched for and get recommended to you.

There's also Yokai Watch 4 and Ni no Kuni Remastered to look forward to.

at the same time pokemon did help save the 3ds even if those games were not the best, it might of died without x and y funnily enough
