Charizard has always been my number one favorite, and I actually received a shiny charmander from a friend as a birthday gift. Simple, but its something I'll always remember.
Volcarona is my second favorite fire type and hands down my favorite bug. Unique typing, great stats, and moths are great. The presentation of the volcarona in that temple in black/white was breathtaking and has stuck with me.
Houndoom, I like cause he was edgy and has a dual typing which I used to think made him straight up better than ninetales, and dogs are rad.
Salazzle helped me to fulfill my desire of having a team of dual-typed fire types, and is also generally just really good.
Chandelure is CUTE.
Rapidash was my second favorite kanto-mon, and horses are my favorite animal in general.
