No National Dex is a good thing. Every future game should follow suit.

It means you mix up the meta competitively. Rather than having the same OP shit every generation like Rotom or the BW Genies or shit, different lists of Pokemon can mix thing up and force people to use different mons each game that come out.

It's actually healthy for the series in the long run.
