It's a good choice. Looking at current Galardex, all of the relevant mons like Lucario pseudo legends etc are already confirmed to be in. Any fan favorites along the lines of Salamance, Tyranitar, etc. are a shoo-in. They will drop a lot of starters and legendaries, along with shitmon like the Pidove and Finneon lines, that nobody gives a fuck about. Most of the pokemon with unique roles in competitive battling will probably still be around. It's just that some of the fluff is getting cut. We don't need 8 regional bird, rodent, and bug-type pokemon. We don't need 8 sets of starters, most of whom are irrelevant competitively. We don't need 8 sets of overpowered legendaries.
