That isn't what Masuda "literally" said on the Treehouse (which I did watch). He only mentioned "more expressiveness" and game balance, which in my opinion is too vague to really be referring to anything in particular since ALL of the returning Pokémon we've seen so far have demonstrated zero new animations.
