Let's say that it wasn't fucking Masuda or Ohmori's fault, and that someone higher up forced them to.
Who do they answer to, then? Who is the one truly to blame for this disaster?

As anons mentions, delaying Gen VIII would have led to the same shitshow delaying Diamond and Pearl did back in the day, with the added hit of not having ANY spin-offs to release to tease the new shit. They weren't delaying Pokémon now, not when it's the biggest multi media franchise as they knew GO and whatever else they did have coming wasn't enough to not put a large hit in TPC's profits (which in turn would affect their profits and piss off their shareholders). It's all money, suck it up snowflakes, you WANTED Nintendo calling the shots, this is your monkey paw.
