Contests are nasty garbage that literally nobody did for anything else than ribbons. BW greatly diversified the game with hidden abilities and legitimate and sustainable additions such as Wonder Launcher, Triple and Rotation battles. Now fuck off, contrarian.

Ruby sucked. The in between Colosseum and FRLG release where only the RS200 were usable are the dark ages of Pokémon.
At least they learned from R/S mistakes when developing B/W and had poketransporter ready to go immediately so people could transfer all the Pokémon not present in the new games.
