Game Freak's biggest mistake was not double down on Mega Evolutions in SM/USUM, and then tripling down on Mega Evolutions in SS.

While many felt megas were a gimmick I think it grew on most of us. I never understood the point of Z-moves, and I don't understand the point of Dynamaxing even more.
