You had an extremely limited selection and were forced to use mostly Unova pokemon for most of the game. The only difference with Sword/Shield is that they won't let you transfer certain things. Gen 5 had no restrictions with transfer, but it only happened in FUCKING post-game when you were done already. So 90% of people didn't even care since once they were finished, they just shelved this piece of shit in their closet drawer. What the fuck was the point?

Sword/Shield could have just had Galar-only pokemon with transfer disabled, and people would still complain about "their buddies going away". Listen here you faggots. If you ever shilled for Gen 5 on /vp/, just know that its your fault that Pokemon is in the state it is in today.
