Why would anyone buy Home if they can’t transfer their mons? What’s the point of transferring at all unless you absolutely need it like for filling the dex?

If someone already owns Bank and can’t switch their Pokémon to Sword and Shield, there is literally no point in getting Home at all.

Leave them in Ultra Moon. Its online may be dead by the time S/S comes out, but at least I'll be able to battle and trade with every Pokemon. It's bad enough that they delete Pokemon if you forget to update your Bank subscription, I'm not paying for Game Freak to hold my Pokemon hostage like Team Rocket until they say I can use them again.

This. Right now I moved everything important to Bank; I'll check them all out, make a backup of my saves, then check them all back in and send them to Home once it's open. I don't want to risk a situation where they turn off Bank -> Home before I move everything over, but I also don't want to gimp myself out of access to my pokemon because it's a one way trade.

Not that I expect it, but there were rumors Home would offer more features than Bank. Maybe they could have a trading system, or a graphically basic battling system like Showdown.
