>>38947825>join guild in some waycurrently the plan is instead of the players being humans transported to a Pokemon world, they were Pokemon to begin with, and have been separated from their Trainers. they'll have vague memories of their Trainers but that's about all that they know aside from their name and what they are. They'll wash up on a beach and one of the players is playing as a Golett. In this world, Golett were made by Pokemon as sort of indentured servants and usually arent meant for anything spectacular other than menial tasks and errands, so rarely will they evolve into Golurk. Anyways he finds the washed up party members and brings them back to the town through a starter forest dungeon (which i still havent figured out how I'm going to change dungeons if they are revisitable and ever-changing). They meet up with the local Adventurer's Academy and form a team
>questsI think I'll have it mostly be linear but I will definitely scatter wondermail, bottles on the beach, NPC story questlines, and just general rewards for exploration
>progressioncurrently it's class-based on a 20-level system. first 10 levels are Pokemon racial levels which will give various moves or abilities that fit GameFreak's depiction of the Pokemon, or its Pokedex entries or just work cause of what the poke is based on IRL. last 10 levels will be for training skills as an Explorer/Adventurer and will mostly fill the utility/misc needs of a regular D&D party such as healing or cartography
There's a bunch more that I've thought about especially when it comes to major characters in the main town, but I guess I'm just suffering from a creative block. I thought it would be a good idea to analyze EoS and see what it did right with its story progression because I imagine that every 5 pokemon levels is one D&D level, so they would be at the final story boss at level 50(10) and then choose if they want to play further or not
