First 2, you have a party of 6 Yokai, they perform actions on their own, you basically rotate the 3 that are currently active, activate their special skills, target foes for them, heal any debuffs your yokai have, etc. The base game is easy, but once you get to the post game shit becomes a lot more wild, and the bosses are fun.
3rd game switches to a grid format where you position the Yokai, haven't played it
4th game looks more like an action RPG
