>>38955429I think the actual reason they're transitioning to Home is so Pokemon can have a portable aspect to it. You can take your phone to a store and scan a QR code for an eventmon, or you can take your phone to a friends house and trade your Pokemon without having to worry about transporting your Switch around. And then for younger kids whose parents might not let them take their Switch out of the house, or who might only own one Switch they can still trade with friends when out in public through their parents phones. Plus it makes it easy to transport your favorite Pokemon from Go into the main games.
It's a good idea in that respect but when the only Pokemon that matter are the Galar regional dex ones I think it really hurts the overall product.
