I know everyone’s upset about the National dex fiasco but this says we are getting 190+ new Pokémon this gen. pretty hype.

Counting every single form change, gender difference, Mega, etc. and there are 1151 Pokémon. I get that’s a lot but if the models are already made I don’t know why they need to be updated again for the Switch. It’s clear everyone that we’re crying about the models would gladly take them if it meant being able to transfer their mons

Because Gamefreak is actually retarded and making new Dynamax models for every single Pokemon included instead of just scaling up the existing models and having a separate model for those stupid red clouds that float over them.

It's not that they need to update them, it's that they are fucking retarded and made separate models for when a pokemon goes dynamax, and since every pokemon can dynamax they basically doubled the model count.

There's 1,140 Pokemon if you count all the forms available for every Pokemon available from Gen 1-7.

This includes Arceus and Silvally typing, gender differences, events, form changes, Unown letters, Deeling Seasons, Cosplay Pikachu, Vivillon Patterns, Minior colors, etc.

The only thing excluded was Spinda dots and shiny variation.

Doing the actual checking on pokedex shit for what is considered actual full-on variations of pokemon like dress-up Pika, alts shown in battle and so on, it puts the grand total up to 930 approx. total up until starters of Gen 8.

In other words, we're getting approx. 70-80 pokemon for Gen 8 lads if the over 1000+ comment is true.
