Reminder that slashing megas is not the gamefix you think it is. Feature's been here for 6 years, and many mons identities were deservingly reinvented.

All the broken megas are already banned on smogon. Lando, gren, pex and other pussy fagging mons in OU aren't even mega. In vgc they can restrict items. They can even restrict megas to single player. Beyond that they can also reduce the stat boost (100->80) etc or any other number of nerfs than unpokemoning the redesigns that many like.

I agree they should add regulars, but why does megas need to be canned in the process? Simply stop introducing new megas, keep the existing ones/nerf. At any rate mons like beedrill and pidgeot had zero chance of new evos since they're third stage, but megas gave them a good boost which is now gone.

Fine, but this type of lazy slashing is exactly what's making the games slide downhill. Instead of improving or including previously introduced features just cut them L. O. L. Yeah no gtfo, and this time it's an entrenched battle mechanic for 6 years, canning side features is another thing, this is a step too far. What do we get in its stead? Dynamaxing is just megas but flat boost and bigger sprite, no nuanced stat distributing, new typing or abilities. Wake the fuck up the implications of this removal is anything but good.
