>>38966361Overall the game has less attacks to deal with (And the majority of attacks are unique to one model and each Digimon only has like 4 moves), and less creatures overall. Though it still has quite a lot of animations it's less than Pokemon overall and the fact that each character is more defined with less options means it's easier to animate each one. Like Kyuubimon here is going to be the only thing using Fox Fire, and only has like 3-4 moves total while 100s of Pokemon use a move like Double Kick and those Pokemon have 30-40 more moves they can use.
Now that's not to shill Gamefreak because while Digimon has less overall animations it does handle what it does have far better. It's just over all a different process. Unlike Gamefreak no one had to check and oversee 1000+ models using a single attack and make sure it worked right each time. They designed some animations for Kyubeimon's or whoever's like 4-5 attacks and moved on to the next one. Still Digimon's look better and Gamefreak should aim to be on the same level but there's is at least more raw workload on Gamefreak's part.
Also I do not mind if Gamefreak wants to go simple with animations but I do not appreciate that them outright lying about it on fucking stage and saying they're delivering better animations for Sword and Shield when they clearly aren't.
