A Togepi hatched from that mysterious egg. I named him Toby. I don't know where this adventure will take me next, but I'm happy I have Toby right by my side.

Had the same experience. I spent week in Silver refighting the Elite 4, Rival (he challenged you at the League on Mondays and Wednesdays) and Red in Silver until Larvitar became Tyranitar. That Tyranitar was based until he died when Crystal's (traded him there when Silver started dying) battery finally gave in. If I knew anything about hardware tampering I would have replaced Silver's battery and traded him back, but alas I didn't.
