i wish more people understood this. GF is a business and their first, or perhaps second/third, priority is to maximize profits. if they can keep you perpetually paying for an online service then they can keep the lights on for a bit longer. its just business, games aren't art, and devs aren't artist

Them making profit out of it doesn't change the fact. Many games have passion and soul put into them, especially 2D ones.
