You underestimate just how shitty this decision was. Plenty of major franchises have seen a severe drop in sales after making a retarded decision.

We're not Call of Duty fanboys complaining about getting more of the same while still shilling out $60 for a few new guns and maps. Because Call of Duty never gutted what made it popular in the first place (amongst idiots but I digress)

We lost the national dex on SM. That's not the problem. We lost 500+ pokémon. They're not even programmed due to fucking lazyness. That didn't even happen on the GBA era. Two years to rescale the same 2006 models they already added on fucking LGPE and they can't fucking do the same on Sword and Shit. Ahahahaha

I skipped Let's Go explicitly because it had a limited number of Pokémon, not because of the babby mechanics and in spite of the fact that I'm a sucker for nostalgia. I see less reason to buy Sword/Shield. Switch isn't hurting for Jrpgs either.

Most of /vp/ (and people outside /vp/ but would be a similar pokemon fan) did not buy Let's Go. That didn't affect Let's Go sales, because that game wasn't made for them, it was made for casual KANTOOO normies.

However they're the core audience for SWSH, and if they're all not buying it, then there will be at least a small dent in sales compared to other mainline Pokemons. Let's Go audience is not going to buy SWSH for the most part.
