So I know it's a controversial topic, but all the revelations of last week got me thinking
Let's be real, as much as loved the old Pokemon are, we are going to reach 1000 species alone, not counting forms and shit, it will be getting more and more impossible to track all of them, even try to balance game and multiplayer, it will be getting hard to get into the game for new players too which is sth I'm sure Nintendo wouldn't want to happen
All of this considered, as much as I wouldn't like it, points to GF sooner or later having to reboot Pokemon more or less
Now we know they tried it once lowkey with Unova and it was met with a bit of ... let's say divided reception, so what would be your ideas to do it with as little opposition from fans and basically everyone? What would be the most civil and easiest way to reboot Pokemon without axing old Pokemon?
All this got me thinking and an idea came to me, like let's say all regions introduced till now were a part of ONE large, diverse state (it's National Pokedex after all, so one country theory is supported), what if after Generation 9, after a number of Pokemon species crosses 1000, GF decided to call it the end of adventure in that one country, which would require them to name it, release one game with areas (let's be real, all 8 or 9 regions in one would never happen) from each region that you can visit, maybe a national league or something, with basiclaly every Pokemon available one way or another, and then Generation 10 will be basically a reboot Gen with new country, new National Dex, new regions, and Pokemon starting again from #1
what do you think? would you like solution like that? Do you have any other idea?
