My Hope's definitely aren't up for a patch or DLC, they already said they have zero plans for that.

The only thing that gives me hope is that making patches for switch seems easier to do than for 3ds.
Iirc smash bros for 3ds didnt have that many patches either correct me if I'm wrong?

You guys have much more hope here than me. LGPE were commercial successes despite backlash and they did nothing to fix them, as was the Switch.

Now, obviously this is more severe than that. The community is in an absolute uproar. But given past events? I really don't think GF cares and I sincerely doubt Nintendo is going to grab them by the balls over this.

Is it really that hard for them to just say "Every Pokemon will be available soon" and just work a little bit harder to ensure that most of them are there by the time Home is released? I feel like that would shut about 80% up right then and there

TPCI is almost assuredly the reason why Game Freak went to shit. Sure Game Freak has always had shit code, but the transition to yearly releases is all the doing of TPCI. Gotta keep that release schedule up for the anime and merch after all.

But the combination of these factors is a big "NO BUY" from me. Trade-offs are one thing but this is just laziness and crunch. Are they not selling enough merch? Are they this strapped for cash? Fuck market valuation, delay the game and make it right.

According to Sakurai, 3DS games have a cap to how many times they can be updated(while Wii U and Switch games don't), which is why DLC characters were released in batches. However Smash 4 still got a dozen updates or so, while the only time Pokemon games on 3DS have been updated at all has been to fix a critical bug in Lumiose City if I am recalling correctly.

Absolutely ZERO chance of a delay. As shill serebii pointed out, the series has a set schedule, or else the anime would have to be delayed, and TCG, and merchandise, etc. Nintendo probably also wants this game out ASAP for switch sales.

Now there is a minute chance MINUTE they will patch this game, or change their policy going forward if, and only if, you raise hell. "OMG STOP BEING TOXIC AND ENTITLED" Toxic and entitled is all that companies listen to, so be toxic as hell
