Heres the thing, every pokemon does those moves the same way. Like they could have all the pokemon in the world and they all do waterfall like that and use the same special attack animation like they did in SM for max overgrowth. Gamefreak is lazy plain and simple. If we actually had unique and high quality animations for all the moves and mons weve seen Id be a bit more forgiving but no its the same shit as always.

And the make my monsters grow gimmick isn't half assed? Not including a huge chunk of existing pokemon out of sheer laziness despite them already being coded isn't half assed? Having flying pokemon float around like awkward machines isn't half assed? Making graphics so low quality they can be compared to an n64 game unironically isn't half assed? Giving you a boring bike while you have mythical giant creatures in your pocket you could ride on isn't half assed? Putting ugly red beacons in the wild area instead of using a map or letting you find them yourself isn't half assed? Using the same models with robotic animations isn't half assed?
Go and play your half assed pokemon game then. Least showdown will have all the pokemon.

Ok but when I think about a new Generation, in a new console with half the dex I imagine battles like Revolution.
All I can see is that they made a big unpolished map, some trainers and added some events. Plus they have so much stuff recycled. Doesn't help that at the same time they were working on a new game

These are barely more animated then the previous games. The pokemon doesn't actually interact with the specific move. It has a basic attack animation applied across similar styled moves. I'm 90% sure that the waterfall is ripped off from gigavolt tackle or some other bullshit z move.
