You guys have been shitting on the newer games ever since the series went 3D. While some of your complaints over the years have been valid, a lot of them don't make any sense when you look at them objectively. You complain about the games being easy, but you've been playing these games your whole lives, so of COURSE any of them would be easy for you. You complain about all your Pokémon getting EXP from battle, even though that's already how most other RPGs work, and the old EXP Share was painfully tedious. You complain about not being able to skip cutscenes, even though those cutscenes include important story information, and most other story-driven games make you sit through a cutscene at least once before you're allowed to skip it.
You think the new games are like The Last Jedi, or Series 11 Doctor Who, or the 2016 Ghostbusters, but they're not. You think you're being like those other fandoms, standing up to the out-of-touch corporations ruining your favorite things, but all you are is a bunch of whiners. Face it, you're all just a bunch of arrogant nostalgiafags with a bias against anything new, and your sudden knee-jerk hatred for anything from Kanto doesn't change that.
You are, without question, the definition of a toxic fandom. You are the fandom all the brainless SJWs think they're fighting against whenever they bash other geek fandoms. And yeah, I know, Game Freak crossed the line big time this time around by taking away half the dex. But you know what? You would have found reasons to complain even if they didn't do that. You would have complained that there weren't enough new Pokémon, or that there were too many new Pokémon, or that the graphics weren't shiny enough. It wouldn't have mattered WHAT they did, because as long as it was made after 2012, you were going to hate it anyway.
You think you're like other geek fandoms fighting against entitled zealots, but the truth is you ARE entitled zealots. Fuck you and goodbye.
