Not being a shill, i'm also upset, just pointing out the flaws in your idea. The people who care about this will end up knowing of it through the internet, and we'll see if that's enough to affect sales.

True, but hear me out. Parents will probably buy pokemon for their kids regardless of what other fans think. Since Let's Go is an older game now, it'll be more likely for them to purchase used copies, meaning Gamefreak won't get a cent for them. Plus, it'll take away attention from the new games, meaning that their merchandise theorhetically won't be as popular in stores

That's not even the point, what's irrelevant is the spread potential of OPs idea. The children won't care about it, even if you tell them (and as i said, you might even convince them, but that would be basically you manipulating them), and the older fanbase probably will find out about this sooner or later anyway.

What remains to be seen is how much this affects the sales. And, for real? Probably won't affect, since that's a change that affects the gameplay of a tiny minority of the fanbase.

10 million for Go the Mainline game is nothing when both Go and SM sold more. They tried to get the Go kiddies and didn't even sell as much as SM.

The thing is, most middle-class parents always buy the newest and latest thing for their kids. They're the greatest obstacle imo. The best we can do is inform everyone really and keep kicking up a fuss.

Indeed. Just make sure they're aware the games will have less content than the ones on the 3DS which are 60% of the price.

Most aren't going to be happy with the idea of paying more for less, even if they're stinking rich.

Hard mode: See if they intended to buy a Switch just for it and get them to buy a 3DS etc. instead, lol.
