To all the people still defending SworShie, why? What is the appeal?
The gimmicks this gen, of a vaguely open area and dynamaxing look lazily done, and you know they'll be cut next game so why get attached?
Speaking of getting attached to things that'll get cut, the Pokemon as well. It's harder to appreciate them when you know Pokemon is slotfagging now, and every Pokemon in means at least two that aren't. And that their future appearances aren't guaranteed.
The story and characters? Pokemon stories have always been railroad garbage about evil team using Pokemon and needing to be fought with friendship, grossly worse even by kid game standards, and outdone by almost every other rpg on the market. And porn of the girls will be on the boorus without you buying it.
The "Pokemon Adventure"? It's hard to appreciate that anymore when it's all incredibly linear, there's less options now than before, and really, do you expect an adventure even on par with older ones? Why keep playing something that's been done better multiple times before?
The graphics are shit, there are gamecube games that look better, and the art direction/framerate is absolutely subpar.
The music seems like bland techno and uninspired selections, nothing to write home about, and nothing you can't wait to hear on youtube.
Maybe the multiplayer, but there are loads of better multiplayer experiences on the Switch alone, and what multiplayer it does have Showdown will have a better version of. I mean of the actual battles, not just walking in the same field together.
The novelty of Pokemon on a console? It doesn't mean much when it's built and runs like a 3DS game.
What really is left that appeals to you? Genuinely curious by the way.
