They're not adding any extra cool stuff into the game. Look at the trees, the Wingulls, the floating bike, the PS2 textures, the Dynamax laziness, the appearance of presumably of no battle facility on the map.
They're getting rid of quantity because they're lazy fucks who can't port over "future-proofed" models and animations they've already fucking made.
Quantity and quality aren't mutually exclusive. BW2 had both. Emerald, Platinum and HGSS too.
