1000 Pokémon was TOO MUCH

Think about it rationally: what is a rational justification for GameFreak to implement Pokémon that no one is ever going to use?

I can't fathom what the purpose of a Venomoth, Alomomola or Linoone would have in a region like Galar, which already counts with many counterparts to these species and much more?

Why do we need a Beautifly in a game that already has Butterfree? The truth is that GameFreak has been gifting us with new designs and species to collect for the last 25 years, and yet we've taken their efforts for granted, calling their Pokémon "shitmon" or just not using them at all.

Just look at the Never Used roster in Smogon. There are enough Pokémon (and even more) to fill the 'Snap List' of Pokémon that won't make into the game. Players are being entitled and unreasonable.

>imagine if Call of Duty players complained that their favorite gun didn't carry over to a sequel, even when it made no sense for that gun to be in the new setting
>imagine if Mario Kart fans complained that their favorite track didn't make it into every sequel, even those that come decades after the initial release
>imagine if Mario players wanted every single Power Up, stage and gimmick to carry over from a game to another

Despite what you say, Pokémon is a massive undertaking. GameFreak is the only developer that is not allowed to shrink their project according to what makes sense, according to fans like you.

You must understand that it is unreasonable to demand a developer not to cute a feature. You are dogmatically attaching yourself to the myth that Pokémon count must only grow, and that the Pokémon you caught 16 years ago should be expected to be in every Pokémon title until the Earth turns to dust. This is unfair.
