Listen /vp/, I'm not a SwSh apologist. The game obviously has issues. Nintendo has been dumbing down all their big releases so that they're more accessible to children and casuals. I'm a huge Animal Crossing fan, and imagine my dissapointment when I saw how neutered the new game looks to be.
But here's the thing.
Even if the games are unrecognizably changed, parts will still be fun. You'll still get chills when the music swells and flows. There will be -some- new Pokemon that you like, even if your bro is left behind this gen.
The cosmetic options will probably be really cute, too!!
And if nothing else, it'll be fun to shit on with your friends on /vp/ and in real life.
I'm still buying the game because Pokemon is my favorite francise and because I want to give it an honest shot. I bought Leg Pee and it was exactly as bad as I thought. It won't be great. We already know that. But I'd rather play games from series that I love instead of getting really into shooters or sports games or something like that.
I guess I'm just looking forward to talking about these games with all of you, even if they aren't what we want from a new Pokemon release.
