>>39002223Because they can't just yet. What's shown in that screenshot doesn't translate to what really needs to be done for it to "feel alive", which would be to give them a proper behavior-system. We are talking about making all of the variables that can make a Pokemon different (species, evolutionary stage, group mentality, solo behavior, habitat, climate, nature, status, etc) part of a personality trait that can be seen in the screen, whils't also having good animations to demonstrate those traits. That's eons away, specially for a franchise with 800+ (and +1000 if you count every different model) different monsters.
If that's not what you want, then I'd suggest explaining further, because that's how it looks.
