I unironically don't have a problem with the Galar Region Dex. It can put more focus on least used/obsure Pokemon, since you can't just use the same 20 different Pokemon you've used for the past 5 games. I bet in the end Gamefreak will have a "national dex" that is fulfilled through Pokemon Home/Bank.

Yeah, like every other regional dex before it. The problem is that in the postgame when you normally unlock the national dex this isn't a thing anymore.

The only problem I have with it is not programming the Pokemon in the game for even later use. I am fine with a limited DeX in game during the story, just make them available later. It's just lazy and it doesn't look like they are making up for it anywhere else.

I use different pokemon in every playthrough, including in games I've played before. 90% of people here are (or were) buying these games at launch, and therefore their team would have to be comprised of Galardex pokemon anyway because Home wouldn't be available for a few months. Not an excuse.

Do the people who say this actually play the games? Do they even know that you can't do this anyway until the postgame since every overleveled mon you have is unusable because they're locked behind badges?

Maybe they should have bothered to give literally any details about Home besides that it's a transfer tool before they shat the public relations bed live on stage. There's no reason to believe Home won't be a subscription service like Bank was.
