The Co-op is pretty lackluster but that's still a valid reason to get it, like I said though get it used and you're golden, the games aren't worth full price anyway.

This sounds so retarded. Why not get both? Or if not, neither, because the problems you find with Sword and Shield are the same ones present in LGPE along with its own list of problems. $60 for ANOTHER Kanto remake with literally every other 656 Pokemon not present along with one being locked behind a paywall. You already mentioned the catching mechanic which I can personally tell you is painfully inaccurate and would never recommend docked over handheld mode. No Sevii Islands, Master Trainers being the worst postgame content have ever given, overworld encounters that clog up the screen so much it causes the game to lag, and a painfully boring orchestrated soundtrack.

I’m not going to mention the baby tier difficulty because it has a purpose and I won’t knock GF for making the easy to pick up for literally anyone.

Picking LGPE over Sword and Shield is probably the dumbest thing anyone can do especially if they are someone who is complaining about Sword and Shield culling Pokemon
