I feel like we can actually blame Pokemon Go for the current situation we're in.

>Slowly add pokemon to the roster
>Launched with minimal features and gradually got more through patches/updates
>Buggy as hell
>Simplified everything
>Making millions of dollars

No wonder Gamefreak though they could get away with Sword and Shield. Everyone ate up Pokemon Go, fuck ups and all.
