I'd heard rumors that Game Freak was done with Pokémon and wanted out, and I'm thoroughly convinced that's the case after all the S&S reveals so far.
They don't want people asking for more shit, so they're going to go out on the lowest note they can so people never want another Pokémon game (at least from them).
