To be fair, we needed a Gen 1 remake at the time. I can barely stand the originals so this existing is a blessing.

FRLG were the only good remakes. The seven islands could have been a bit bigger and interesting though.
Shame that the event pokemon ruined any hopes of ever getting a full pokedex. That alongside Emerald only giving you one Johto starter.

op sir, even if the DP remakes have the "missing pokemon", you literally cannot transfer them to sword and shield either, because THERE WON'T BE FILES FOR THEM, just like in let's go.

And the dp remakes won't have all of them either. This is gamefreak's strategy with games, to hype up the games with pokemon selections.

I'm pretty sure you can get every Pokemon just between RSE + FRLG alone, but you need events for the Johto box legendaries if you don't have Colosseum and GoD.
