Why don't they at least announce the number of new pokemon in the dex? If it were 150 or more it'd be worth just revealing more of the base evolutions or just reveal the number of new mons if a lot are new evolutions for old pokemon.
Since they've done neither, can we assume that there are about as many new pokemon as Gen 6 and 7. During such a PR trainwreck, some form of reassurance for your audience is a big deal. Since they've offered none, we can assume they have nothing but bad news coming up.
