>>39022596>We were talking Gen 7 in generalI wasn't. I specifically referred to Platinum and USUM. Platinum has some EV'd mons in it too but they're mild in comparison to USUM's competitive level EV spreads.
>For example, those 3 Trainers in SM have Level 13 Pokemon. The trade-off of the high EVs and IVs there is that all of those Pokemon have 1 move, and having a resistance is more than enough to stop them at that point in the game. Are you seriously trying to imply that a single level difference is good enough offset to make the two nearly equal in terms of danger? Are you actually fucking deluded or are you just meming?
The Moon version has a single 31 IV, 0 EV's, the same 1 move (which is fine, this is low level trainers).
The USUM one has 3 30 IV's, +252 in special attack but it's a level lower. Do you want to go damage calc how much a resisted ember from a modest growlith with 30 IV's and +252 Ev's in special attack and will do to say, a Popplio?
I haven't bothered but I'm quite sure that even that is going to hurt a shit load.
This is basically the tutorial section too, you cannot downplay those types of stats.
>Cynthia is widely cited as the most difficult boss fight in any core Pokemon gameNope, she was. Necrozma took her place. If we're talking about trainer specifically then then I'd argue that Guzma has claimed more lives than Cynthia. That being said Cynthia is probably still the hardest champion. Her team is varied and she has quite a number of threats.
>>39022684>A cutscene skip for at least USUM would have been niceNo doubt about it, I don't deny that and I don't try to pretend gen 7 was perfect, it had flaws. Quite a few of them, but the gameplay aspect was great.
I fucking hate the festival plaza for example. Fuck that shit, give me PSS back.
>>39022833Based, the legendary and rare gen 5 fan that isn't a fag. I knew there would be a few of you out there. You're exempt from everything I say
