They won't at all. If we're extremely lucky, Nintendo will force GF to patch in the rest after release for free.

More likely, it'll be a selling point of the re-releases in 1-2 years.

They won't delay their big fat cash cow for this winter. Nintendo fucked over animal crossing to make sure it wouldn't have to compete with itself.

Best case scenario is they patch the other mons in. They would probably delay home as a result, giving a mid-2020 release. The biggest question would be if they announce this pre or post release. The former is the smarter choice, to cash in on pre orders from vindicated normies.

Considering that Nintendo listened to backlash regarding Super Mario maker 2 matchmaking of all things, I'm hoping they will address this. I am still not sold, though, as GF's only talent is being able to feed Nintendo a pile of shit and get away with it.

Real talk though, I hope soemone at Nintendo is screaming at Masuda and Ohmori over this.

Honestly, why would they delay it? Even if they decide to implement the other pomemon, there is always a period where you can not transfer old pokemon, so they could just use this period to make the models and then update the game by the time home is allowed to transfer to sword/shield. To transfer you'll need internet anyway so a game update in this case would be just fine.

I'm almost certain Masuda is getting fucked by Nintendo as we speak. Nintendo has tried really hard to win their reputation back after the WiiU and they've largely been successful. It's the entire reason why Super Mario Maker 2 is getting better online.

Then Masuda comes along and fucks over the hype train in all the worst possible ways. Pokemon is supposed to be a system seller and yet they release a game that looks like It came out 2 console generations ago, and with less features than previous titles in the series to boot.

They could lose the entire game in august, and they'd still just ship whatever they had come november. Pokemon games don't sell based on content or features, they sell based on whether or not it says 'Pokemon' on the front.

There were examples of other devs at Nintendo listening to feedback with several other games shown at E3.
>Luigi Mansion 3 has portrait ghosts back and the mission structure scrapped because that's what fans wanted
>Daemon X Machina had a ton of new improvements that came from suggestions people made after playing the demo
>Super Mario Maker 2 is getting online co-op with friends despite the fact that it initially wasn't going to due to fan outcry
This isn't a Japan dev problem, this is a bad dev problem, and that's why it's also a Game Freak problem.
