These rom hacks are actually hard even if you decide to use PKHeX to get competitive stats and movesets, because the entire romhack has trainers that ALL use comp strategies, with perfect IVs, EVs, and Natures.
Try playing through this as if it were a normal pokemon game now that is a brutal challenge.

They don't reveal which Pokemon is coming next after you beat the last one. Some trainers use baton pass, stuff like sticky web and toxic spikes. They're hard. You can't even breeze through the game with Inkay/Malamar like the base version

It's the same as the base game in terms of story and so forth. It's like Drayano60s Blaze Black 2 & Volt White 2 romhacks, but arguably it's harder than those ones.

It's the standard Dio Vento hack. Important trainers have six Pokemon, most trainers have altered movesets/EVs/IV, Pokemarts sell competitive items, revives are nerfed, etc.

That's why I said arguably much harder. The trainers in BBVW2 don't all have perfect EVs, just IVs, Dayano60 couldn't mod in EVs at the time.
Supernova Sun, and Penumbra Moon all have perfect EVs, IVs, Natures, Items, WHILE having actual competitive strategies and movesets.
Even with PkHeX these games are fucking hell in terms of difficulty.

Dwebble is an early-game beast. Learns rock blast, withdraw to shore up its defenses. Fury cutter hits like crazy when you stack it. Usually comes with sturdy. Learns Rock Polish on Level 19, Smack Down to deal with fliers, Rock Polish doubling the speed. It can easily beat up on EXP yielders. You won't see any high-leveled Happiny or Chansey or Blissey or Audino at this point so beat up on Plusle and Minun you see

We only got Dio_Vento as the designated hard mode all mon modder.
He does utilize the EXP share into his hacks unlike Drayano though, so his hacks are more natural overall.

Why hasn't anyone made a romhack to "fix" the base game where most trainers have random IVs and EVs and AI that tries to use supereffective moves on you? Basically the equivalent of BW2's challenge mode but better. Hacks that are just "I pokesav'd the best monsters possible but for the enemies you have to fight" are stupid.

it's honestly pretty easy
I was lucky cause my primarina had a rash nature, after we got the specs for beating 100 trainers she started wreaking shit.
her and freebiedactyl made quick work of most everything, and my sawsbuck and magmar cleaned up well.
it's easy if your team is all out offense

You gotta remember that most of /vp/ is also terrible at even the vanilla games.
You definitely have to think about your actions and team comps in these hacks, but the people who go all like "DIZ SHIT IZ LIEK DA HARDEST THING EVAR!!!" typically don't have knowledge of what Pokemon are capable of and proceed to get their shit slapped trying to brute force their way through.

It's just that the level curve is quicker amd sharper. The final story boss has level 100 pokes, i was a bit behind in victory road, i had to grind so everyone could gain ablut 3-4 levels, took itd time but it was worth it

Try playing without any save editing and on real hardware, it's as hard as these games can get.
I had to super train my in-game team early in his ORAS hack to even the odds.
